COMPETITIONS
Since its establishment in 2014, Women Science Teachers aims to ensure gender equality in science education and to direct girls to science education. We believe that in order to strengthen science education in society, education should be spread in every field and for this purpose, we have been organising competitions for years to direct the society to science and to attract interest. You can see some of these competitions below...
THE COLOUR of the SKY

Women Science Teachers (WST ) organized "The Colours of the SKY" competition for teachers and academicians as one of the partner organisations of the STEM Discovery Campaign2020 (Organised by European Schoolnet) and The International Day of Light 2020(Organised by UNESCO). The competition aimed to draw attention to the importance of science on human beings .
These are the winners ;
1 . Miguel Angel Queiruga Dios , Noelia Velasco Perez , Izaskun Mitxitorena with their project ( CONTRAILS & CLOUDS ) from Burgos University /Spain
2. " Valentina Steponovska Andonova" with her project ( TRAVEL with LIGHT ? ) from OU Dame Gruev Intermediate School / Bitola- NORTH MACEDONIA
3. Costantina Cossu with her project ( The RAINBOW in the SKY ) from
Istituto Istruzione Superiore Enrico-Fermi /Alghero / ITALY
The winners got the awards.( First : 650 Euro , Second : 450 Euro , Third : 250 Euro )

LIGHT of the BOSPHORUS
Women Science Teachers (WST ) and Arnavutköy Korkmaz Yigit Anatolian High School organized "Light of the Bosphorus" competition for students (10-14 ages) as one of the partner organisations of the International Day of Light2021 (Organised by UNESCO)

CRAZY SCIENTISTS at WORK
Women Science Teachers (WST ) organized "Crazy Scientists at Work !" competition for students (10-14 ages) as one of the partner organisations of the STEM Discovery Campaign2020 (Organised by European Schoolnet) . The competition aimed to draw attention to the importance of science on human beings .

MY BEST PARTNER is a TEACHER
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is the 11th day of February, by resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on 22 December, 2015. The day recognizes the critical role women and girls play in science and technology.
Women Science Teachers (WST) organise competiton for "11 February International Day of Women And Girls in Science ".
Women Science Teachers (WST ) organized "My best partner is a Teacher" competition for students (7-17 ages) and their teachers as one of the partner organisations of the STEM Discovery Campaign 2020 (Organised by European Schoolnet)
The winner was Maria -Genoveva Agape and her students ,Oana Iova and Ana Jumugă, from Romania . They got the award with their wonderful work.

TECH GIRLS COMPETITION
As a one of the partner organisations of STEM Discovery Campaign2024 held by Scientix, WST and ARSTEAMapp Project organised the competition for the " 11th February International Day of Women and Girls in Science".
In this competition, which aimed to increase the interest of girls (Ages12-18) in science, the subject of the competition was cultural heritage and technology.
